Reminders

  • First Grade Arrival & Dismissal – Door A
  • The school day starts at 8:10 AM and ends at 2:30 PM. Please make sure your child comes to school on time.
  • Students have Recess from 10:28 AM – 10:50 AM; First grade Lunch is from 10:50 AM – 11:18 AM
  • Please review and return your child’s Homework everyday; please clean out your child’s daily folder each day.

Into Reading: Unit 10– Dare to Dream

Focus: Students will recognize that good things can happen when a person is brave enough to try something new. They will read about inventors, architects, and others who have been brave and tried new things.

  • Essential skills: topic and central idea, retell, setting, research: present information

Writing

Into Reading: Writer’s Workshop Unit 10 – Informational Text: Biographical Essay

Focus: Students will be able to write an essay about someone who inspires them.
