Summer Rising

The Summer Rising Program Begins July 2, 2024.

New Class Information

New class information will be shared with families in August via email.

Early School Supply Drop-Off Dates

If you would like to drop off school supplies prior to the first day of school, the building will be open on:

  • Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Friday, August 30, 2024 from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
  • Wednesday, September 4, 2024 from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Orientation and School Tours

Orientation and school tours for new incoming students and families will take place in late August.

First Day of School

Students return to school on Thursday, September 5, 2024.

Virtual Town Hall Safety Meeting

A Virtual Town Hall Safety Meeting will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 9:00 AM.

Coffee and Conversation

Virtual Coffee and Conversation Meeting will be held on Monday, March 25, 2024 at 9:30 AM.

Career Day

P.S. 115Q’s first Career Day event will take place on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 in the morning. All interested participants should have received a letter with additional information regarding the logistics of the day.

Civics Week March 11, 2024 – March 15, 2024 

Monday, March 11, 2024: Students will engage in a read aloud of the text Rise Up and Write It and share responses on a padlet.

Tuesday, March 12, 2024: Students will take a Virtual Field Trip to visit Washington DC and engage in class discussions.

Wednesday, March 13, 2024: Students will have their Soapbox Speech Assembly. Students in grades K-5 will have an opportunity to listen to some Soapbox Speeches written and presented by our grade 5 students. They will have an opportunity to ask our presenters some questions at the end and add to a Jamboard titled “My Voice Matters”.

Thursday, March 14, 2024: Students in kindergarten will be visited by Council Member Linda Lee for a discussion on the importance of civic responsibility and community involvement. Students in grades 3-5 will participate in a lesson titled, ‘Superhero in Me’ and will create their own superhero and comic.

Friday, March 15, 2024: Students in grades 3-5 will have a special assembly with Assemblyman Ed Braunstein. Students in grades K-2 will participate in a lesson titled, ‘Superhero in Me’ and will create their own superhero and comic.
